Acetone, ACS Grade, Reagent, 20 Liter

Acetone, Reagent, ACS is a colorless, flammable, liquid. Due to its miscibility with water, it serves as an important solvent. Used as a polar aprotic solvent in a wide range of organic reactions, acetone does not form an azeotrope with water. Thanks to its low cost and volatility, it is also commonly used to clean laboratory glassware. Another characteristic of Acetone is that it can be cooled with dry ice to -78°C without freezing allowing this solvent to be used to conduct reactions at low temperature. As a Reagent ACS grade quality reagent, its chemical specifications are the de facto standards for chemicals used in many high-purity applications and typically designate the highest quality chemical available for laboratory use. Spectrum Chemical manufactured Reagent ACS grade products meet the toughest regulatory standards for quality and purity.
